Notes:

The analysis has used lean sirloin steak (rather than lean & fat), and type of bread rolls is white crusty (can be changed if required).

Ingredients

227g can DOLE Pineapple slices drained, 75ml (3fl oz) juice reserved

1½ tsp soy sauce

1 clove garlic, crushed

½ tsp fresh ginger, grated

pinch cayenne pepper

450g (1lb) sirloin steak

4 bread rolls

75ml (5 tbsp) mayonnaise, fat free or low fat

cucumber slices

fresh coriander

Instructions

Mix together the reserved pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and cayenne pepper in a shallow dish. Add the steak, turning to coat with marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.

Grill the steak until cooked as liked. Grill the pineapple until golden brown. Cut steak into thin strips, discarding the marinade. Cut rolls in half and toast. Spread with mayonnaise and fill with steak, cucumber, pineapple and coriander.
