Pine-Apple Pie

Ingredients

567g can DOLE Tropical Gold Pineapple chunks , drained

2 medium cooking apples, peeled and thinly sliced

25g (1oz) plain flour

25g (1oz) brown sugar

25g (1oz) granulated sugar

½ tsp cinnamon, optional

25g (1oz) butter or margarine, melted

375g ready prepared shortcrust pastry sheet

sugar for glaze

Instructions

Heat oven 190C (375F) Gas 5.

Mix  together the pineapple chunks and the apple slices. 

Blend  together the flour, sugars and cinnamon and add to the fruit with the melted butter. 

Pour  fruit mix into a pie dish. Top with pastry and brush with water and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 30 – 35 mins or until apple is cooked and pastry is golden brown.
